ScanJet 5370c/­cse/­cxi PrecisionScan Pro software/­driver for HP Scanjet 5370cxi This is the complete scanning software for the sj5370c series of scanners.­ This download does not contain any third party applications.­ NOTE: Due to the size of the download and the time it would take,­ HP recommends ordering the CD-ROM version rather than downloading the Web version of the driver without broadband (Cable,­ DSL,­ T1,­ or equivalent) Internet access.­ To order the full release CD,­ with all software features,­ use the "Back" button to display the previous page and select the software beginning with CD.­ Choose the file you want to download to your system.­ With your mouse,­ click on the file.­ In the 'save as' dialogue,­ you will be prompted to select the folder (subdirectory) where you want the file downloaded.­ Once the file is downloaded,­ click on the file,­ the software will decompress and then install automatically.­ During installation,­ you may see a message about "Digital Signature Not Found".­ You must select "Continue" for the software to install correctly.­ Connect the scanner only after you have finished installing the Scanning Software.­ Known Issues: Scanning software,­ scanner,­ and printer stop responding after using HP ScanJet Copy Utility or scan-to-printer on a printer connected to the 5370C parallel pass-through port.­ This issue has only been seen in Windows 2000 and XP.­ The first copy or scan-to-printer operation works fine,­ after that the customer will not be able to access the scanning software,­ scanner or printer until the system has been restarted.­ Resolution/­Workaround: Don't connect a printer to the scanner's parallel pass-through port in Windows 2000/­XP.­ Connect either the scanner and/­or printer to a USB port.­ Compatible devices: C8473A
